To fill in the minimum required fields, follow these steps: 


Create Sales Quote

1.    On the Navigation Pane click Sales & Marketing -> Sales Quote -> New.

OR

            In the Search Panel Search “Sales Quote” & select related link.

2.    No. field: Press ENTER to automatically assign a number.

3.    In Customer Name field enter MILLENNIUM.

4.    In the Lines FastTab, and move to the first line.

5.    In the Type field, select Item.

6.    In No. field, select ANK001-8.

Notice that the Description field is now filled with ROLO CHAIN WITH 3 ANCHOR PENDANTS ANKLET, which is the description from the item card. You can modify this field as you want.

7.    In the Quantity field, enter 100.


 

 

8.    Expand the Lines FastTab, and move to 2nd line. 

  • On the next line, in type field select Resources.
  • In No. field select, LABOR.
  • In pieces field, enter 1.
  • In unit price field, enter 100.

 

 

9.    The sales quote is now complete and ready to send to customer. To print the quote click Print & Send.

2 options are available you can select either “send Email” or “Print”.

A quote can remain in the database for an indefinite time before you convert it to an order. This is useful when customers need time to review a quote that is sent to them.

 

Convert the Quote to a Sales Order


Customer has accepted the terms quickly, and you must now create a sales order.


Steps:

  1. Click Actions -> Create -> Make Order.
  2. You receive a message that asks if you want to convert the quote to an order. Click Yes.
  3. You receive a message that shows which sales order number is created from the sales quote.  

 


Notice that the sales quote is gone. This is because it is no longer used, as the sales process has moved one step forward and all the quote information is transferred to the sales order.

 

Process the Sales Order


After the sales quote is converted to a sales order, you can process the shipments and sales invoices.

1.    In Navigation Pane click Sales & Marketing -> Sales Order.

2.    Locate the sales order SO-000235 & click edit.

3.    Expand the General FastTab. Notice that the sales quote header information is transferred from the quote.

4.    Move on the 1st line of lines FastTab, The Qty. to Ship and Qty. to Invoice fields both show an amount of 100.


 

5.    On the header click Posting -> Post

6.    The posting request form appears showing the default option, Ship & Invoice. Click Ok. 

7.    The sales order is now closed. & it is removed from the sales order list.

8.    To view posted sales order open Posted Sales shipment.
